ബംഗലൂരു: ആര്ട്ട്്‌ ഓഫ്‌ ലിവിംഗ്‌ ആചാര്യന്‍ ശ്രീ ശ്രീ രവിശങ്കറിനു നേര്ക്കു ണ്ടായ ആക്രമണശ്രമത്തില്‍ അക്രമി 700 മീറ്റര്‍ അകലെനിന്നാണ്‌ വെടിവച്ചതെന്ന്‌ ബംഗലൂരൂ ഡിജിപി അജയ്‌കുമാര്‍ സിംഗ്‌ വ്യക്‌തമാക്കി. .32 റിവോള്വ ര്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചായിരുന്നു ആക്രമണം. ആക്രമണത്തിന്റെ പശ്‌ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ ശ്രീ ശ്രീ രവിശങ്കറിന്റെ ആശ്രമത്തിനു സുരക്ഷ ശക്‌തമാക്കുമെന്ന്‌ അജയ്‌കുമാര്‍ സിംഗ്‌ അറിയിച്ചു.

ചില സൂചനകളുടെ അടിസ്‌ഥാനത്തില്‍ ബംഗലൂരു പോലിസ്‌ അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചതായി ഡിജിപി പറഞ്ഞു. ഫോറന്സിബക്‌ വിദഗ്‌ധരുടെയും മറ്റും റിപ്പോര്ട്ടു കള്‍ ലഭ്യമായ ശേഷമേ ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ ലഭ്യമാകൂ. എന്നാല്‍ ഇന്നലെ നടന്നത്‌ ആക്രമണം ആണെന്ന്‌ കരുതുന്നില്ല. ഒരു സംഭവം മാത്രമായാണ്‌ ഇതിനെ കാണുന്നത്‌. ശ്രീ ശ്രീ രവിശങ്കര്‍ കാറില്‍ കയറി പോയതിനു അഞ്ചു മിനിറ്റ്‌ കഴിഞ്ഞാണ്‌ ആരകമണം നടന്നതെന്നും ഡിജിപി പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാല്‍ തനിക്കു നേരെ തന്നെയാണ്‌ ആക്രമണമുണ്ടായതെണന്ന നിലപാടിലാണ്‌ ശ്രീ ശ്രീ രവിശങ്കര്‍.

സംഭവത്തെ തുടര്ന്ന്ം‌ ആശ്രമത്തിലെ സുരക്ഷ വര്ധിശപ്പിച്ചതായും ഡിജിപി വ്യക്‌തമാക്കി.

ബാംഗ്ലൂര്‍: ആര്‍ട്ട് ഓഫ് ലിവിങ് ആചാര്യന്‍ ശ്രീശ്രീ രവിശങ്കര്‍ വധശ്രമത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് തലനാരിഴയ്ക്ക് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. ഞായറാഴ്ച രാത്രി ഏഴ് മണിയോടെ ബാംഗ്ലൂര്‍ കനകപുര റോഡിലുള്ള ആര്‍ട്ട് ഓഫ് ലിവിങ് ആശ്രമത്തിന്റെ പരിസരത്തുവെച്ചാണ് അജ്ഞാതന്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുനേരെ വെടിയുതിര്‍ത്തത്. ഒരു അനുയായിക്ക് വെടിയേറ്റു. ശ്രീശ്രീ രവിശങ്കര്‍ സുരക്ഷിതനാണ്.

ഞായറാഴ്ച രാത്രി ഏഴ് മണിക്ക് പതിവ് സത്സംഗം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാക്കി വേദിയില്‍ നിന്നിറങ്ങി കാറില്‍ കയറിയപ്പോഴാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനുെേര അനുയായികള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍നിന്ന് ഒരാള്‍ അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായി വെടിവെച്ചത്. ഇതിനോടകംതന്നെ ശ്രീശ്രീ രവിശങ്കര്‍ കാറില്‍ കയറിക്കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നതിനാല്‍ പരിക്കേല്‍ക്കാതെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു.

ഞായറാഴ്ചയായതുകൊണ്ട് ആശ്രമത്തിലെത്തുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ഒരുവിധ നിയന്ത്രണവും ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നില്ല. 0.22 റൈഫിളില്‍ നിന്നാണ് വെടിവെച്ചതെന്ന് പോലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. വിനയ് എന്ന അനുയായിക്കാണ് വെടിയേറ്റത്. ഇയാളെ ബാംഗ്ലൂരിലെ സ്വകാര്യാസ്​പത്രിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. വെടിവെച്ചയാള്‍ പോലീസിന്റെ പിടിയിലായിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നാണ് സൂചന. ഇയാളെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള കൂടുതല്‍ വിവരങ്ങള്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്താന്‍ പോലീസ് വിസമ്മതിച്ചു.

ശ്രീശ്രീ രവിശങ്കറിന്റെ സുരക്ഷയ്ക്ക് രണ്ട് ഗണ്‍മാന്മാരാണ് പതിവായുള്ളത്. ഇതില്‍ ഒരാള്‍ കാറില്‍ കയറിയിരുന്നു. രണ്ടാമത്തെയാള്‍ കാറിനു പുറത്തായിരുന്നു.

സിറ്റി പോലീസ് സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി അന്വേഷണം തുടങ്ങി. സംഭവത്തില്‍ അനുയായികള്‍ ആശങ്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ലെന്ന് ആശ്രമാധികൃതര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.

PROPOSED BAN ON TRADE IN PEACOCK FEATHERS

The Ministry of Environment and Forests, in response to numerous requests from various stakeholders, is in the process of banning the trade of peacock feathers. It has been brought to the Ministry’s attention that the demand for the feathers outsrips the supply leading to the rampant poaching and killing of the birds for the purpose of their feathers.

To this end the Ministry proposes to amend Sections 43(3)(a) and 44 of the Wildlife Protection Act 1972 which relate to the transfer and sale of the tail feathers of peacocks. The proposed amendment is intended to prevent the illegal trapping and killing of the national bird for their tail feathers.

Currently, the Act prohibits the killing of peacocks as well as export of tail feathers or articles made from them. But, the Act allows domestic trade in feathers or articles under the assumption that these are naturally shed. Following the amendment, section 43(3)(a) and section 44 will no longer exempt those possessing a certificate of ownership for peacocks from transferring or
selling the tail feather and articles or trophies made from them. There will be imposed a comprehensive ban on the sale, transfer and trade of peacock feathers.
